3 Reasons Why Your Business Failed
Posted by Steve Tucker on 25/01/2010 under Business.
There is no need to work your brains to find the cause of your failure in business. The reasons are as clear as crystal. And there are just 3 of them.
The first reason is that you opened the wrong business at the first place. You love cooking does not mean that your restaurant would do roaring business. There are several factors that you need to consider besides your interest. The location, level of competition, and your own knowledge about this business are all important factors. Simply knowing how to cook a fine dish does not guarantee success in a cooking business. Therefore, whenever you plan to open a business in any field, remember that it is not enough to have interest; you need proper training in managing the business. No wonder business studies have gained such popularity in recent times. The world has become competitive and each one wants to have the best.
The second reason is that you chose an inappropriate business name. If you are a staunch follower of Shakespeare and think what is in a name, imagine this: you come across two businesses on the internet. One has a plain boring name that you have heard a hundred times before. The other one has an intriguing name - something that evokes interest and an urge to find out more about it. Which one would you choose? It is obvious, the second one. So, it pays to put a little effort and time to pick a unique name that creates an aura of interest in people.
The third reason is that you jumbled up the advertising part. What? You did not advertise for your business and thought that people would come to know? Well, this might happen with some businesses that flourish because of their location, but most of the businesses, especially online ones, need marketing. And if there is more competition, you need aggressive marketing.
So, guys, you have it in you to carve a niche for yourself. Just change a few things and watch your business grow.
