This infrastructure includes buildings, equipment, machinery, and so on. For example, if the work involves lifting a heavy load that is beyond an individual’s capacity, then relevant equipment that assists the employee in lifting the load is required. The infrastructure also includes IT and communication infrastructure, which are the backbone of any firm.
Work Environment
Just having the equipment is not enough for the employees to perform their work. They should also have a supporting work environment like neat and clean space, pollution free environment, safe working practices, proper lighting and temperature, good working relationships and so on. All these measures will keep them motivated to work and ensure their safety. The employees should also have scope for innovation and improvement. They should feel empowered to make their own decisions. They should also feel free to discuss their problems and should trust their employer.
Any organisation depends on its customers and keeping them satisfied is of prime importance. Since customers interact with employees, it is important for an organisation to keep its employees satisfied. Tight infrastructure and proper working environment are necessary to keep the employees satisfied and get the best out of them.
